Pioneering vintner H.W. Crabb first planted the vineyard in the mid-19th century. Well-regarded for its superlative fruit, he appropriately named it, “To Kalon”, Greek for “highest good.” In the 20th century, the site found new glory as the source of the legendary Georges de Latour wines made by Andre Tchelistcheff. The section we farm is specified by both the row and vine so we can bestow the best expression of this highly coveted site.
